Art
is a reflection of our perception of reality. It is a translation
of our most innermost feelings; an expression of rememberences,
aspirations, dreams, myths and fantasies - not a copy of reality.
Philosophically
I consider intuition, imagination, and willingness to experiment,
to be a means of transcending reality and entering a different
realm - a world of magic. I feel my paintings reflect a long-standing
love affair with color; a perpetual fascination with the underwater
world, nature, and theatre. They are a contemplation and a celebration
of life. Some of my paintings have a visible texture relating
to interior and fashion design; others, a very thin, semitransparent
layout. They are all pieces of my soul and expressions of different
phases of my life.
To
conclude, I do not think that my work belongs to a particular
style and think of it as a biomorphic interpretative art.
